Ways to Engage with CBA Students

Opportunities abound to get involved in academic programs, centers, institutes, classroom projects, and research initiatives. We also provide custom and nationally-recognized professional and executive education opportunities to help develop your workforce, including on-site or online learning options in a variety of disciplines. 
Together, we can identify the best connections and opportunities to drive results and address the needs or your organization. Build brand awareness, gain fresh ideas, strengthen your workforce, and attract and develop future business leaders. 
The chart then provides ways to interact with students based on industry interests, such as: 1. Recruit and Hire through Handshake, Career Fairs, On-Campus Interviews, Tabling in the Atrium, Office Hours, and Information Sessions; 2. Engage Student Talent by becoming a mentor, hosting a corporate visit, engaging with student organizations, volunteering as a speaker, participating in Career Accelerator, sponsoring competitions or classroom projects, or partnering with MBA capstone teams; 3. Provide Program & Center Support to one of the following: Rise Up Scholars, Center for Principled Business - Menard Family Scholars, National Strategic Selling Institute, Gates Capital Management Center - Finance Scholars, Center for the Advancement of Entrepreneurship, SGA Gordon Family Scholars, or Women in Business; 4. Participate in Workforce Development through Executive Education or Micro-credentialing; 5. Support Research by participating in research projects or funding research and programs that support your business goals; or 6. Invest in the College through the Advisory Council, Matching Gifts, Faculty Support, or Student Support through Scholarships. 

Below the chart are statistics about the College of Business, including: 2,695 undergrad business students, 307 graduate business students, 636 business minors, 8 undergraduate majors, 8 certificates, 4 graduate degrees, 5 minors, AACSB Accredited, 69 faculty and instructors, and 10 advisors boards with over 400 executive volunteer members.

Engage with Student Organizations

The Dean’s Student Advisory Council (DSAC) is the premier organization in the College of Business Administration. This group, comprised of the presidents of each CBA student organization and Student Governing Association student senators, sets new initiatives and programs for the college. For more information about the Dean’s Student Advisory Council or for event inquiries involving multiple student organizations, contact the Student Success Center or the DSAC president Luke Meis.

There are 60 elected member of Student Senate. The College of Business is represented by seven student senators that are elected each spring to serve a one year term. Student Senate is responsible for determining student fee money allocations and establishing policies for the K-State student body.
