📅 Recruitment Timelines for Business Majors

Understanding when companies hire can give you a competitive edge. Below are the typical recruiting timelines for internships and full-time jobs in business-related fields.

  • Accounting, Finance, & Consulting:
    • Internships: Recruiting starts as early as August – September for the following summer.
    • Full-Time Roles: Many firms extend full-time offers to previous interns; external hiring happens from August – November.
  • Marketing, Sales, & Management:
    • Internships: Recruiting peaks September – February with additional opportunities in spring.
    • Full-Time Roles: Hiring happens throughout the year, with more openings January – May.
  • Supply Chain & Operations:
    • Internships: Recruiting often starts September – December but can continue into spring.
