Meet Abigail
I’m a junior from Overland Park, Kansas, studying Graphic Design with a minor in Marketing. Currently, I work as a front desk assistant at the Career Development Office, where I’ve developed valuable organizational and networking skills. This semester, I’ve had the privilege to shadow the senior graphic designer, which has helped me strengthen my skills in project management and design. I’m also involved in K-State’s AIGA club and am the Vice President of Merchandising for Women in Business. In my free time, I enjoy drawing, traveling, and watching movies!

Meet Avery
I am a junior from Arvada, Colorado, studying Accounting and Economics. Working in the Career Development office allows me to network with employers and interact with students, which develops my professional communication skills and increases my passion for business administration. I use these skills to expand my personal network which helped me earn internships with Tepa Companies and Myers and Stauffer. Outside of academics, I am actively involved with Wildcat Offroad – Baja SAE, Beta Alpha Psi, and Christian Challenge. In my free time, I enjoy running, reading, hanging out with friends, and spending time outdoors!

Meet Carson
I am a senior from Shawnee, Kansas, double majoring in both finance and accounting. Working at the Career Development Office has provided me with opportunities to connect with students, staff, and corporate partners while allowing me to be further involved within the College of Business. I’ve been able to strengthen my skills in professional communication, project management, and leadership through various events and activities. This year I am excited to transition into our Executive Mentor Program Assistant where I will help manage mentees and program communication. Outside of the classroom, I am a member of Business Ambassadors, the Student Finance Association, and Beta Alpha Psi. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with friends, spending time outdoors, and exercising.

Meet Desirae
I am a sophomore from Broomfield, Colorado, majoring in Organizational Management with a certificate in International Business. Working in the Career Development Office allows me to grow personally and professionally by providing great resources through staff, students, and employers. I have also had great success in strengthening my skills through project management, organization, communication, leadership, and collaboration, through events, networks, and activities. In the College of Business, I am involved in Business Ambassadors, the Executive Mentor Program, and the Menard Family Scholars Program. I am excited to step into a new role as the Vice President of Programs for Women in Business. As you can see, I love being a part of the College of Business family!

I am a junior from Lenexa, Kansas, majoring in Finance with a minor in Leadership Studies. Working for the Career Development Center has allowed me to meet new lifelong friends and mentors. When I am not in class or at work, I enjoy spending time outside or hanging out with my friends. If you see me at a gathering, I am most likely the one petting the dog.

Meet Xara
I’m a junior from Ponca City, Oklahoma, studying Accounting and Finance. Working as a front desk assistant in the Career Development Office gives me the opportunity to grow professionally, strengthen my communication skills, and help support students, staff, and visitors. On campus I’m involved in Beta Alpha Psi and LUPE. I am currently a Risk Management Fellow and SGA Gordon Family Scholar. Outside of class I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with friends.
