Meet Aubrey

I am a freshman from Towanda, Kansas, near Wichita, dual majoring in Finance and Accounting. Working at the Career Development Office has provided me with many valuable opportunities, including building strong relationships with staff members and peers while being part of a fun work environment. Through my role, I have improved my time management, public speaking, and networking skills. I also have the opportunity to shadow as a mentee assistant for the Executive Mentor Program. Outside of the classroom, I am a member of Pi Beta Phi, Business Ambassadors, Student Finance Association, a RISE Up Scholar, and the University Honors Program. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, riding roller coasters, and traveling to new places.

Meet Avery

I am a senior from Arvada, Colorado, studying Accounting and Economics. Working in the Career Development office allows me to network with employers and interact with students, which develops my professional communication skills and increases my passion for business administration. I use these skills to expand my personal network which helped me earn internships with Tepa Companies and Myers and Stauffer. Outside of academics, I am actively involved with Wildcat Offroad – Baja SAE, Beta Alpha Psi, and Christian Challenge. In my free time, I enjoy running, reading, hanging out with friends, and spending time outdoors!

Meet Carson

I am a senior from Shawnee, Kansas, double majoring in both finance and accounting. Working at the Career Development Office has provided me with opportunities to connect with students, staff, and corporate partners while allowing me to be further involved within the College of Business. I’ve been able to strengthen my skills in professional communication, project management, and leadership through various events and activities. This year I am excited to transition into our Executive Mentor Program Assistant where I will help manage mentees and program communication. Outside of the classroom, I am a member of Business Ambassadors, the Student Finance Association, and Beta Alpha Psi. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with friends, spending time outdoors, and exercising.

Meet Desirae

I am a sophomore from Broomfield, Colorado, majoring in Organizational Management with a certificate in International Business. Working in the Career Development Office allows me to grow personally and professionally by providing great resources through staff, students, and employers. I have also had great success in strengthening my skills through project management, organization, communication, leadership, and collaboration, through events, networks, and activities. In the College of Business, I am involved in Business Ambassadors, the Executive Mentor Program, and the Menard Family Scholars Program. I am excited to step into a new role as the Vice President of Programs for Women in Business. As you can see, I love being a part of the College of Business family!

Meet Drake

I’m a junior from Overbook, Kansas, studying Accounting and Finance. I’m excited to work as a front desk assistant in the Career Development Office because it allows me to build professional experiences, develop strong communication skills, and assist students, staff, and campus guests. Outside of class I enjoy spending time with friend, going to the gym, and watching sports.

Meet Eliza

I am a junior from Omaha, Nebraska, majoring in Marketing with a minor in Advertising and Public Relations, along with a certificate in the Business of Sports and Entertainment. I am excited to join the Career Development Office, as the resources and guidance it provides have played a key role in my personal and professional growth. Within the College of Business, I am involved in the Menard Family Scholars Program and serve on the Executive Team for Business Ambassadors. Outside of academics and work, I enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and baking or cooking with friends.

I am a junior from Lenexa, Kansas, majoring in Accounting with a certificate in Data Analytics. Through my role in the Career Development Office, I have built strong connections with students, staff, and corporate partners while strengthening my professional communication skills. I’ve been able to grow my project management and organizational skills through various events and activities. Outside of the classroom, I am actively involved in Beta Alpha Psi, Business Ambassadors, and Women in Business. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with friends, reading, and spending time outside!
